Charlie Ardell
Charlie Ardell was a schoolteacher who coached in the BGSA for many years; both the Junior League Knights of Columbus team and the Senior League Tobacco Joe's team.

Richie Cataldo
Richie Cataldo was a Billerica police officer who served on the Board of Directors for several years. It is after him that the Cataldo award is named.

Don Donati
Don Donati was president of the Billerica Girls Softball Association for many years. Under his direction the league more than doubled in size, started an instructional league, installed the lights at the Shea field (paid for by the BGSA) and started playing night games. He was also instrumental in starting The Town of Billerica's growing celebration of itself: The Yankee Doodle Weekend. The weekend was his idea and he worked with the town to get it going. He could be seen marching in the parade in Yankee Doodle costume every year. Don's memory was recently honored with the building and dedication of the Donald Donati Field located right as you walk into the Shea/Lampson Field Complex. Don's guiding hand on the Board of Directors is sorely missed. Thank you Don.

Michael O'Brien, Jr.
Michael O'Brien was the son of Michael and Gail O'Brien and it is his memory that the O'Brien Scholaship is awarded each year. Michael was often seen behind the plate, umpiring games.

Julie Sandberg
Julie Sandberg was a high school girl who played for our league for many years, including O'Connors Hardware. She loved softball.

Terry Keefe
Terry Keefe devoted much of his time to coaching teams in the Billerica Girls Softball Association. Most notably, he was the head coach of Rick's Automotive for many years starting with the team's inception. As his three daughters moved up into the Senior League Terry volunteered as assistant coach of Greco Screen Graphics until illness forced him from the field. Terry's work with the BGSA was not limited to just coaching. When the league received word an area was availabe for a new field, Terry, along with a few others, built the new field doing everything from spreading three truckloads of dirt to putting up fences. Terry's unique sense of humor and special way of interacting with the girls is greatly missed. If you go to any of the various BGSA fields on a quiet night you can still hear his voice conning and cajoling his "girls" to a higher level of play.
