Billerica Girls Softball Association 2006 Middle All-Star Game

The Billerica Girls Softball Association (BGSA), in the association’s 29th year, held the 2006 All-Star Games on Saturday, May, 27 at the Lampson Field Complex. It was a beautiful warm, sunny day; perfect for softball. Due to the diligent efforts of BGSA board members, coaches and other volunteers the fields were prepped and groomed in preparation for a fantastic day of softball.

Before game time, the All-Stars from every league were lined-up on one field for the National Anthem. After the National Anthem, each All-Star team marched off the field to sounds of applause from parents, friends and family and went to their respective fields.

The Junior League, consisting of girls ages 9-11, played on the Donati field. The Middle League, consisting of girls ages 11-13, played on the Shea field. The Senior League, consisting of girls ages 13-19, played on the Lampson field.

The games were exciting with lots of runs and great plays. Each player gave it their all making their team proud of their representatives. In testament to how evenly match the BGSA league is all the games were decided by only one run in each game!

The BGSA Board wishes to thank the efforts of all the coaches, umpires and volunteers that helped to make the All-Star games a success and, more importantly, a lastly memory for all players.
